Desiree Moore

Desiree Moore is our beloved President of Community Outreach Ministry Efforts. With a soul that exudes care and virtue, Mrs. Moore draws from a wide array of experiences and knowledge sources, propelling C.O.M.E. to accomplish our mission and vision. As a previous business owner, she possesses the firsthand perspective of what it takes to run a successful organization and how hard work translates to good success. She credits Jesus Christ in her pursuit of paths that gave her experience in serving others, such as food catering, time spent as a healthcare worker, and serving as a human resource coordinator. She truly feels that “it is better to give than receive.” This selfless outlook led to her also becoming an Evangelist, where she serves as a treasured mentor, a trusted advisor, and an outstanding example to all who communicate with her. Because of her passion to give back to the community, Evangelist Moore cherishes the direct interaction and long-lasting relationships with everyone that she encounters. What gives her gratification is seeing families and individuals benefit from the harmony of C.O.M.E.’s various programs. Together with her husband and children, Evangelist Moore’s mission is to afford others the same life of love that she has. She is undoubtedly a gift to our organization.

President

Due to her standard of excellence, keen attention to details, and unwavering dedication, Mrs. Smith’s professional career grew to include several key exposures. These include working as a nurse, serving as an American Business Women’s Association member, managing customer service and legal affairs, as well as working for one of the largest insurance companies in the nation for over 30 years, while also training its employees and managing medical reviews. While living in South Carolina, she answered the call to help spread God’s Love, and subsequently relocated to Texas as an ordained Missionary, with her husband, Elder John Smith. Missionary Smith has always been passionate about spreading love, as evidenced by her time as a volunteer for the Lydia Project, where she provided cancer patients with emotional support to help facilitate their healing through prayer and words of encouragement. Dedee Shannon

Community Outreach Ministry Efforts is beyond thankful to have the services of our Secretary, Dedee Shannon. Growing up in South Carolina, Mrs. Shannon has always had a heart full of devotion to take of other individuals and families; her life is synonymous with the word “ministry”. Alongside her husband, Pastor Charles A. Shannon, and 3 daughters, Lady Dedee Shannon remains faithful in her calling to feed the hungry, both naturally and spiritually. In South Carolina, this devotion to love and kindness led her to be a sponsor at Safe Haven Ministry, where she provided delicious home cooked meals and clothing every week to the homeless as well as anyone who needed assistance. After relocating to Texas, that same dedication led Lady Shannon to become a Homeless Liaison for Killeen Independent School District. Now she serves as a Coordinator for a renowned Texas hospital system. She has over 10 years of experience in planning and coordination of these and is effective in spreading C.O.M.E.’s impact. We are truly fortunate to have her leadership in supporting our communities.
